About Project

Costa Sunglasses are for those who need water to breathe. They’re also sunglasses that have really reflective lenses!

So, how do you show those sunglasses off in close up shots, while not showing off the camera crew and equipment in the reflections? Well, I’m sure there’s a better way to plan it and figure it out in pre-production, but oh well. In this case, it was a “we’ll fix it in post!” sort of situation, and I was the one tasked with trying to do just that. It included a lot of tracking, rotoscoping, painting, and other forms of cleanup, but I think it turned out looking pretty good.

Along with the anthem video above I also helped create some cinemagraph style gifs for the brand to post on their social channels or wherever else they chose. Scroll down to see more, along with a quick process breakdown of one of the cleanup shots.
